Coaching

Coaching

Description

I am a highly qualified and accredited Professional Coach with the International Coach Federation also mBIT certified, Analytic-Network Certified Coach and able to work with numerous psychometric questionnaires for career counselling, behavioural change and relationship mediation.

Our coaching conversations can take place on Skype or face to face. If you are feeling off balance, unsure, jaded, not yourself, need to make a challenging decision, need support in a new job or relationship, have a specific topic to resolve or even want to be happier than you already are, then coaching is for you.

Illness is often a result of conflict between mind and body and working with the body only repairs physical damage. Working with the mind (your emotions and your beliefs) enables true healing and growth to take place. When our minds are in harmony with our hearts and guts then health and happiness flow more easily.

An affordable coaching partnership enables me to support you to generate resources and options that will take you to a positive result that fits with the life you want to live.

BreakThrough Sessions with Sandplay

Description

Sandplay is a creative and fun way to open possibilities for you to define your goals and create your future within a tray of sand . I help you to discover what you really want through safe, free and creative play to inform and extend the coaching conversation.

Rather than projections from me, we wait for your inner wisdom to unfold in metaphorical pictures and for the interplay of relationships to be discovered. I will work gently with the underlying processes and the symbols which enable you to find new ways of being.

Should you find it difficult to share content, the Sandplay process can be worked through metaphorically with no sharing of the real issue.

Sandplay is useful for;

  • Self-discovery
  • Exploring difficult and emotional situations
  • Finding ways forward from a ‘stuck state’
  • Changing attitudes and responses to situations
  • Exploring loss and grieving
  • Enhancing well-being and relationships
  • Giving meaning to everyday life
  • Developing balance between personal and professional worlds
  • Facilitating conversations with small children
  • Dialogues between couples to work through challenges in their relationships

A session will typically take 2.5 hrs for one individual and 4 hrs for pairs or couples.

Coastal

Coastal Coaching

Description

Coastal coaching is a creative intervention for those who have an experiential learning style and want to escape city or even every-day life and gain energy and inspiration from the sea air. It is available in spring and autumn when the weather allows.

Living, working or just ‘being’ by water has hugely positive effects on health and well-being. This makes us more attentive and yet calmer – ensuring we are in ’flow’ and therefore provides a peak state for hugely creative explorations through coaching. The saying ‘fastine lente’ (go quickly slowly) sums up the results of slow and reflective walk by the water’s edge with your coach, It speeds up your focus and your outputs by negating distractions and setting your brain free to work on whatever presents itself.

For our procedural  friends, the coaching structure may include the following techniques or, for those 'unfettered' spirits, it can be purely exploratory and 'free flowing';

  • Pre-session questionnaire, possibly psychometric questionnaire
  • Pre-session discussion to agree the contract, the boundaries and the structure for the session
  • Understanding the concept of ‘cause’ and ‘effect’
  • Dreaming the dream and setting compelling outcomes – what are the possibilities for change?
  • Creating the dream (using one or more fun and interactive exploratory exercises (e.g. beach walking, sand drawing, reflection and contemplation)
  • Caring conversation - either on the beach, in the beach café or within a beach hut environment
  • Bringing your dream into your current reality
  • Follow up Skype conversations

All of this will happen in a confidential and safe environment. Safe practice is hugely important to me.  Light refreshments are included. We choose a pace to suit you and can walk along the shoreline, perch in a quirky beach hut, draw and play in the sand or a mixture of all three.
